Extensive Clinical Experience Develops Students for Careers in Athletic Training

Athletic training students put classroom theory into practice by completing clinical experiences in the surrounding area. Athletic training students are required to complete seven clinical rotations, including four consecutive five-week rotations at local high schools, colleges, 和诊所. 迈克尔·鲍尔斯

Dr. Powers has been a health profession educator for over 30 years and is currently the Director of the Athletic Training Program. 他是有执照的运动教练, a New York State certified Emergency Medical Technician and a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Powers volunteers his services as an athletic trainer and EMT for events such as the Boston Marathon, 纽约马拉松, 海军陆战队马拉松和特奥会.

马克Gildard

凯文·亨利

凯文·亨利 is a graduate of the Marist Athletic Training Program, and earned a master’s degree from Old Dominion University where he received training to become an athletic training educator. He serves as the Clinical Education Coordinator and is responsible for oversight of the clinical component of the Athletic Training Program. He holds a CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and teaches courses related to health and therapeutic rehabilitation.
