Research Interests / Areas of Focus
Dr. 彼得森的研究重点是对机构教会权威的挑战, particularly with regard to heresy and saintscults, in late medieval Italy. She is also interested in issues of gender and sexuality, the marginalization of social groups, and cultural interaction in the late medieval Mediterranean basin.

Schmitt Grant from the American Historical Association; the John Tracy Ellis Dissertation Award from the American Catholic Historical Association; and a Biblioteca Ambrosiana Microfilms Travel Grant from Notre Dame University, besides internal institutional research grants and awards.2011年，她还被Marist授予VPAA和学院院长特别贡献奖.
